Browse the FAQ →What stays on your device and what is processed for sign-in and paid access.
Read the policy →Your reading position is saved automatically. When you reopen a script, you'll be offered the option to resume where you left off.
Google or verified email/password sign-in secures your account and Google Play access. Scripts, settings, progress, models, and recordings remain on the device and are not restored by signing in on another device.
Use New file in the script library, or import an existing document. Supported import formats are .txt, .md, .pdf, .doc, and .docx.
The import uses Android's system document picker and initially accepts any file so the app can validate it after selection. Google Drive files appear when Drive is available and signed in. Supported virtual Drive documents can be exported by the provider as text, PDF, or Word content before Ever Teleprompter imports them. If validation rejects a file, save or export it as .txt or .docx and try again.
PDFs store layout, not paragraphs, so heavily formatted files (multi-column layouts, slide exports, scanned pages) can produce odd line breaks. Scanned PDFs that contain images rather than text will import as empty. A .docx or .txt source will always give a cleaner result.
Export as .txt, or share the script's text through Android's share sheet to any app that accepts plain text.
Voice Follow can use one of ten downloadable local models. Other device languages and automatic fallback use Android's selected speech service. Work through these checks in order:
| Local model | Approximate download / stored size |
|---|---|
| English | 188 MB / 189 MB |
| Chinese | 168 MB / 168 MB |
| Hindi | 198 MB / 198 MB; updates accumulate at about one second intervals |
| Spanish | 156 MB / 156 MB |
| French | 156 MB / 156 MB |
| German | 156 MB / 156 MB |
| Portuguese | 156 MB / 156 MB |
| Vietnamese | 339 MB / 339 MB |
| Japanese | 170 MB / 170 MB; progress may update after short phrases or pauses |
| Korean | 160 MB / 160 MB |
The matcher deliberately refuses forward jumps it can't verify, which is why repeated phrases don't throw it off — but it also means an unusually large ad-lib can leave it waiting. Nudge the script manually to your current line and it will pick up again. If your script contains the same sentence several times over, adding a distinguishing word helps the matcher anchor.
First confirm microphone permission and retry. If you are using a non-English language, your device may have no speech recognition service selected; check Android Settings › System › Languages & input for the default assist/voice input app. You can always use Time or Manual mode, which need no microphone.
The cue line is the marker your active words are held against while the script scrolls. Open Options › Cue Line to configure it.
Whichever mode you're in, the script is scrolled so the current words sit at the cue line — so moving it changes how much of what's coming next you can see ahead of you.
Camera-Eye Level mode makes a best-effort placement of the script near the device's physical front-camera cutout. Exact placement depends on the device, orientation, display cutout, and current margins. Check the result before recording or going live.
Compatible Bluetooth or USB presentation clickers, keyboards, and gamepads can control playback, move the script forward and back, and change Time-mode speed.
Pair the device in Android's Bluetooth settings first. Once Android reports it as connected, its key presses reach Ever Teleprompter — there is no separate pairing step in the app.
Open Options › Remote Bluetooth Controller and set Words per press. Lower values give finer control for dense scripts; higher values move faster through long ones. Reset restores the default.
Some clickers emit media or page-navigation key codes that Android routes elsewhere, and a few send nothing at all unless a specific mode is selected on the device itself. Check whether your clicker has a mode switch (often labelled for slides vs. media) and try the alternate setting.
Floating Prompt is a Pro feature that places a draggable, resizable script window above another Android app. It supports Manual and Time modes. If Voice Follow is selected, Ever Teleprompter asks before switching the floating session to Time because livestreaming apps may need the microphone.
Camera-only streams normally omit the prompt, but full-display sharing, mirroring, or screen recording can expose the script. Test privately first. Some protected screens may suppress the overlay. Floating Prompt never starts itself.
Configure recording under Options › Record Mode. In the speaking screen, one red button starts recording and starts the selected script movement at the same time.
The main library has separate tabs for scripts, recorded video, and recorded audio.
| Requirement | Detail |
|---|---|
| Operating system | Android 8.0 (API 26) or later |
| Devices | Phones and tablets, portrait and landscape |
| Voice Follow | Ten optional downloadable local models; other device languages and automatic fallback use Android's selected speech service |
| Record Mode | Video requires a front-facing camera; audio requires a microphone; 4K requires actual front-camera UHD support |
| Floating Prompt | Requires Android's display-over-other-apps permission; protected screens may suppress it |
| Network | Required for sign-in, purchase verification/restoration, and local-model downloads. Previously verified access has a limited outage grace period; Manual and Time operation and installed models can run locally. |
In the app, open Contact Us and choose Technical problem. The screen displays your app version and build, Android version and API level, and phone type; those displayed values are attached automatically when you send the message. General question, Account or billing, Feedback, and Feature Request attach no automatic app or device information.

PurelyMail sends account verification and password-recovery messages. Brevo separately delivers Contact Us notifications and remains unchanged for that purpose.
Please don't send us your actual script if it's confidential — a short, made-up excerpt that reproduces the problem is just as useful to us, and safer for you.
